This chaconne for solo viol by Sainte-Colombe was performed as part of my final master’s recital at McGill University. It is one of my favourite pieces to listen to and perform, I hope you enjoy!
These photos were taken by fans during some of my concerts with Montreal-based ensemble Les Méandres at the Calgary Public Library, the crypt of the Chapelle Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours in Montreal, and the Mathieu Duguay Early Music Competition in New Brunswick.
Master’s Recital, 1 May 2021
Here is the livestream video from the final recital of my Master’s degree from McGill University, 2021. During my studies I focused on the unaccompanied solo repertoire for viol from France. I play two suites of dances for this recital, the first by Demachy and the second by Sainte-Colombe.
